Dexus was launching two groundbreaking new retail spaces in Sydney and Melbourne. My task was to craft an experience that could work across multiple venues but feel unique and tailored to the needs of each retail centre.

Project Discovery:

Collaborating closely with the client and construction partners, I ran discovery workshops to uncover the unique features and selling points of Dexus's two new retail locations, 80 Collins in Melbourne, and 25 Martin Place in Sydney. Since the venues were still under construction, we had to be adaptable to the changing needs of the project.

Experience Design:

With a solid understanding of the proposed centres, I created a set of wireframes, broken into components and page templates that could scale across the two venues and potential future ones. The design centered around the core activities of the centres—shopping and dining—encouraging users to explore and discover more about the shops, restaurants, and offers available.

Multi-brand Design System:

Working closely with the visual designer, we produced a pair of design systems that built off a base set of components. This approach ensured feature parity between the sites, allowing them to be developed and authored in the same way. The components shared the same codebase and differed only in CSS, providing a consistent yet unique experience for each venue.
